Privacy policy

The short version

• Your messages are sorted on your phone. Mesora has no server, and your messages, contacts and codes are never sent to Kunz Systems.
• There is no account, no analytics and no crash reporting.
• Ads are currently switched off in the app. If the free version shows ads later, they come from Google AdMob, and the app never passes your message content, senders, contacts, categories or codes to the ad system.
• Purchases of Pro are handled by Google Play. We never see your payment details.
• You can delete everything the app stores itself with one button, or by uninstalling it.

Who is responsible

Mesora is a product of Kunz Systems. Kunz Systems is a business name of Stanley Kunz Pazer (trading as Kunz Global · Kunz Systems), Ruta 1 km 51, Departamento de San José, Uruguay, who is responsible for the app and this website. Why the app needs SMS access

Android only lets the default SMS app receive, send and manage text messages fully. Mesora asks to become your default SMS app and then uses these permissions:

• Read, receive and write SMS — to show your conversations, receive new messages, sort them and keep read, archive and delete states in Android's message storage.
• Send SMS — so you can write, reply and start conversations. Your carrier's normal charges apply.
• Receive MMS and WAP push — required by Android for a default SMS app. MMS support is currently being tested.
• Notifications — to tell you about new messages.

Optional permissions

You can refuse these; the app keeps working.

• Contacts (read only) — to show names instead of numbers and to treat saved contacts as personal. Contacts are only read on your phone; they are never stored by the app or transmitted.
• Phone state — only to list your SIM cards so you can choose one on dual-SIM phones. Without it, Android's default SIM is used. Your phone number is not read.

Other permissions

These are needed for ads, purchases and the optional cleanup:

• Internet and network state — only for ads in the free version and for Google Play services such as purchases. Your messages are not sent over this connection.
• No advertising ID — the app removes the advertising-ID and ad topics/attribution permissions that Google's ads SDK would otherwise add.
• Google Play Billing — to buy and restore Pro.
• Run at startup and stay awake briefly — so the automatic cleanup you switched on can run in the background on your phone.
• The app does not ask for location, camera, microphone, call log or account access.

How sorting works

Mesora sorts messages with rules that run on your device: the sender (saved contact, unknown number, short code), typical wording for codes, bank alerts, deliveries and promotions in several languages, links, and the rules you set. It does not use a cloud service or an AI model, and no message is sent anywhere to be analyzed.

What is stored on your phone

Your SMS and MMS themselves stay in Android's message storage, where every SMS app keeps them; the app makes no copy of them. In addition, it keeps a small local database with the category of each conversation and why it was sorted that way — without message text, codes or senders — plus your rules (the senders or keywords you chose), archive state and settings. Numbers you block are stored in Android's own block list on your phone — this is not a block at your carrier.

This data never leaves your phone through the app — except when you export it yourself (Pro). Android's cloud backup of app data is disabled for the app, so this data is not copied to your Google account either. Your SMS themselves belong to Android's message storage and may be included in your phone's own backup, depending on your Android settings.

Automatic cleanup

The app can delete old codes after 24 hours, 3 or 7 days, and — with Pro — old promotions or spam after 7, 30 or 90 days. All of this is off until you switch it on. Bank and personal messages are never deleted automatically. Deleted messages cannot be restored.

Local export (Pro)

Pro can export your messages to a file. You choose where it is saved using Android's file picker. If you pick a folder that is synced to a cloud service, that service will receive the file under its own terms — that is your choice, and we never receive it. Message texts are included only if you choose that option.

What we never receive

Kunz Systems does not operate a server for Mesora and does not receive your messages, senders, phone numbers, contacts, categories, codes, rules or usage data. There is no account and no sign-in. The app contains no analytics and no crash reporting.

Ads in the free version

Ads are currently switched off in the app. The free version may show ads from Google AdMob (Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd.) in the future; the app then connects to the internet for them. Ads appear only as a small banner on overview screens — never inside a conversation, while you write, or next to codes or bank messages. The app does not use your device's advertising ID. Depending on the ad configuration, Google and other ad or platform providers may process technical data needed to deliver, secure and measure ads, under their own privacy policies.

The app never passes your message content, senders, contacts, categories or codes to the ad system, and nothing from your SMS is used for advertising.

Where required by law (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), a consent dialog from Google's User Messaging Platform asks for your consent before any ad is requested. Where this dialog is required, you can change your choice later in the app's settings (“Ad privacy choices”). Pro shows no ads.

Purchases through Google Play

Pro is planned as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time purchase, sold through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment and your payment details under its own terms and privacy policy. The app only receives the confirmation from Google Play that you own Pro, so it can unlock Pro features and restore them on a new phone. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in Google Play.

Deleting your data

In the app, Settings → Privacy → “Reset app data” deletes everything Mesora stores itself: categories, rules, settings and cache. Uninstalling the app does the same. Your SMS stay in Android's message storage until you delete them — in Mesora or in any other SMS app.

This website

The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, trackers or third-party embeds. Fonts and images are served from our own domain. The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you visit it, Vercel processes technical data your browser sends automatically — IP address, time, requested page, browser type — to deliver the site and keep it secure. These server logs are kept only for a short time, as set by the hosting provider, and are not combined with other data by us.

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to handle your request. If you ask to be notified at launch, we keep your address until Mesora is available, write to you once and then delete it — no newsletter, no list. Email runs on Google Workspace.

Legal bases and international transfers

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation or similar laws apply, we rely on these legal bases: your consent where it is required for showing ads (you can withdraw it at any time) and otherwise our legitimate interest in financing the free version with ads; the performance of a contract for purchases of Pro; and our legitimate interest in providing a secure website and answering your messages.

Google, Vercel and the other providers named here may process data in the USA and other countries. Where required, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Support runs by email at contact@kunzsystems.com. Please don't send screenshots of private messages; if we need an example, a description is enough.

Children

Mesora is a general messaging app and is not directed at children under 13.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under Uruguayan Law 18.331 and the EU General Data Protection Regulation — you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing and to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Since the app keeps your data on your phone, most of it is under your direct control. For anything else, write to contact@kunzsystems.com.

Changes

If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this policy before the change is released. The date at the top shows the current version.
